As it has been known for a long time, a properly balanced diet has a huge impact on our everyday life and well-being, and long-term exposure to stressors can cause many health problems (as you can read about HERE). In addition to the methods of coping with stress known to you (HERE), it turns out that the right amount of fruit and vegetables consumed during the day can play a particularly large role in reducing it.

Research

In a recent study at Edith Cowan University in Australia, researchers investigated the relationship between fruit and vegetable consumption and perceived stress. The results showed that people who consumed a minimum of 470 grams of fruit and vegetables daily had a 10% lower stress level compared to those who consumed less than 230 grams of these foods. Comparable results were obtained in people who ate an increased amount of fruit or vegetables alone.

“Our study strengthens the link between a diet rich in fruit and vegetables and mental well-being” Says Radavelli-Bagatini, lead author of the published study. “Long-term stress can lead to a range of health problems including heart disease, diabetes and depression, so we need to find ways to prevent and alleviate mental health problems in the future.” – adds the researcher.

Similar conclusions were reached by Polish scientists analyzing the relationship between the consumption of fruit and vegetables and broadly understood aspects of mental health (including the impact on the occurrence of depressive symptoms, stress or general well-being). It was noticed that lower levels of mental stress and, at the same time, higher levels of optimism were reported by people who consumed large amounts of fruit and vegetables, especially berries, citrus and leafy greens.

Consumption of fruit and vegetables in Poland

The statistical data on the consumption of vegetables and fruit and their preserves in Poland (compiled by the Food and Nutrition Institute) show that their consumption has not increased for over a dozen years, and is even in a slight downward trend. It is estimated that the consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables in our country (excluding potatoes and juices) slightly exceeds the level of 250 g per person per day.

Fruits and vegetables are important components of a healthy diet. Reduced consumption of fruits and vegetables is associated with poor health and an increased risk of non-communicable diseases. An estimated 3.9 million deaths worldwide in 2017 were caused by inadequate consumption of fruit and vegetables. These products are rich in vitamins and other ingredients that regulate the functioning of the body and take part in all processes taking place in it, which is why the habit of reaching for a variety of fruits and vegetables is so important.

Summary

The topic of proper consumption of fruit and vegetables in reducing stress certainly requires more research, so we are still waiting for new reports in this area. However, we can already take care of the potential stress minimization by eating at least 400 grams of fruit and vegetables a day in accordance with the current recommendations of the World Health Organization. The longer we eat properly, the lower the likelihood of serious health consequences in the form of diseases such as hypertension, atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular diseases, type II diabetes, obesity and other diet-related diseases. That is why it is so important to take care of a balanced diet every day. ?

You can find many ideas for dishes using vegetables and fruits on the blog. I encourage you to consume especially seasonal products, which are tastier and richer in beneficial compounds (see HERE?

We have seen Iron Man again in the Marvel Studios Cinematic Universe and he is not played by Robert Downey Jr.

Iron Man from Robert Downey Jr was the character who started the Marvel Studios Cinematic Universe In 2008, he then had many adventures both alone and as part of a team with the strongest heroes, but his story ended in Avengers: Endgame (2019), since he sacrificed himself in order to defeat Thanos. So we probably won’t see him again in the near future.

But Marvel Studios has released the series of What if ?? where alternate versions of the most important heroes are shown. To interpret the characters they have had the voices of the original actors, such as Chadwick Boseman, Danai Gurira, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Sebastian Stan, Samuel L. Jackson, Jon Favreau, Paul Bettany, Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Douglas and Paul Rudd. But Robert Downey Jr has been replaced by Mick Wingert.

The character is well represented.

Although it would have been great that Robert Downey Jr repeat like Iron Man, it must be recognized that Mick Wingert it’s a great choice. Since in episode 6 of the first season of What If ?? titled What if Killmonger rescued Tony Stark? makes a great performance. He has also worked a lot in animation, since he has been in series such as Kung Fu Panda, Attack on Titan O Baki. But he had also previously lent his voice to Iron Man in the series of Spider-Man which aired from 2017 to 2020. Not forgetting that he has experience in video games, so his career is very complete.

For now, we don’t know the plans Marvel Studios for a possible return of Iron Man to live action movies. But if that happens, just Robert Downey Jr should take care of the character. Although we will always have his great performances such as Tony Stark that can be enjoyed in the Disney Plus streaming platform.

From October 22, 2021 the new single de The List Representative. The song, Religiously, is an excerpt from the duo’s latest unreleased album, My Mamma; and follows the single Vita, launched last summer.

The 2021 it has been a brilliant year for The List Representative, a project born from the meeting of the singer Veronica Lucchesi and the multi-instrumentalist Dario Mangiaracina. After participating in the Sanremo Festival with the song Amare and the publication of My Mamma, the band was on a successful summer tour.

For the fall, the duo chose to launch the song Religiously. It is “a song about abandonment and abandonment, like letting go of a feeling” – tells The List Representative. ?Inside it flows the sound of the sea, of the salt, of the party from which we gradually move away. Religiously he plunges into memories and sensations that by force of time are consumed, fade or fade. These are moments that come to mind and that we would like to keep with us and at other times drive away. How hard it is to let go of this whole life?.

The Representative of List, the novel Maimamma is coming

The piece anticipates the release of a new artistic project by The List Representative. This is not a new album, but a book. The duo just announced the release of their first novel Maimamma, published by Assayer, in bookstores since October 28, 2021 (here the link to order the book).

Directly linked to the latest album, with which it shares the genesis and themes, Maimamma it is the novel of an entire generation. The book tells the story of a woman – Lavinia – who is about to give birth to a son on the threshold of the apocalypse.

The germ of the writing of Maimamma dates back to the beginnings of the de The Representative of Listto; and accompanied Veronica e Dario for years, until the work on the last album. Maimamma, like the (almost) self-titled album, it deals with themes dear to The List Representative, such as those of the body, of motherhood, of ecology, of the inheritance that we will leave to our children.

The link with the album My Mamma it is clear from the title and cover artwork of the novel – by Alice beniero – which takes up the reinterpretation ofOrigin of the world from Gustave Courbet, on the disc signed by Manuela Di Pisa.

Pratt & Whitney and GE Aviation have won NASA contracts to develop technologies aimed at increasing the thermal efficiency of future commercial turbofan engine cores.

The contracts fall under NASA?s Hybrid Thermally Efficient Core project ? an effort to develop a ?high-power-density? turbofan core that is 5-10% more fuel efficient than current technology.

Launched in 2020 with $191 million in planned funding, NASA?s HYTEC programme is working to mature the technologies in time for an early 2030s service entry on a next-generation airliner.

P&W will ?develop advanced high-pressure turbine technologies that will reduce fuel consumption and emissions for next-generation single-aisle aircraft?, the Hartford engine maker says on 25 October of its HYTEC work.

More specifically, P&W?s effort will focus on development of carbon matrix composites (CMCs) that are ?capable of operating at higher temperatures than current CMCs?. The company will also develop ?environmental barrier coatings and advanced cooling and aerodynamic approaches that will enable new component designs and efficiencies?, says P&W, a subsidiary of Raytheon Technologies.

?By increasing the thermal efficiency of the high-pressure turbine, these technologies will contribute to greater fuel efficiency in future gas-turbine propulsion systems,? it adds.

The company will perform the work at its newly opened CMC ?centre of excellence? in Carlsbad, California. Raytheon Technologies Research Center in Connecticut will also contribute.

P&W does not disclose the dollar value of the work, but government documents note that Raytheon won HYTEC contracts valued at $6.6 million, including options.

GE also confirms it won HYTEC contracts. The Ohio engine maker is ?testing and maturing compact jet engine core designs to improve thermal efficiency ? this includes continued development of ceramic matrix composite, which is an advanced heat resistant material?.

GE?s work aligns with a broader technology development programme called RISE being led by CFM International, which GE and Safran Aircraft Engines co-own.

Through RISE, CFM is developing an open-fan engine (also called a ?propfan?) and working on means of boosting thermal efficiency.

The US government values GE?s HYTEC contracts at $12.2 million.

Now, scientists in a UCLA lab led by neurophysicist Mayank Mehta are gaining a deeper understanding of how the hippocampus works on a circuit level ? that is, functions involving networks of millions of neurons. That knowledge could be an important step toward the development of treatments for neurological disorders such as Alzheimer?s disease, schizophrenia and epilepsy, all of which are related to dysfunction in the hippocampus.

In their latest study, published in the journal Nature, the scientists studied rats in a virtual reality maze. While observing the activities of large numbers of individual neurons in each animal?s hippocampus, the scientists discovered responses in those neurons that revealed a specific mechanism for navigation.

?The hippocampus is one of the first regions to be affected in memory-based diseases like Alzheimer?s,? said the study?s lead author, Jason Moore, a former UCLA postdoctoral scholar who is now at New York University. ?So it is crucial to understand its functionality, flexibility and limits.?

The study could help explain why people with damage to the hippocampus struggle not just with so-called spatial tasks, like finding their way home or locating a lost set of keys, but also with memory tasks, such as recalling what they had for lunch or whether they took their daily medication.

The experiment used a type of virtual reality system that was developed in Mehta?s lab. The technology is intended to keep the animals comfortable and avoid causing dizziness and other symptoms that other VR systems can trigger.

For the study, rats were placed on a small treadmill inside a box with images of a maze projected onto the container?s walls. The rats were encouraged to run through the maze to find their reward, a drop of sugar water. In order to make it to the reward, rats needed to discern where they were in relation to the virtual objects around them, where they needed to go to receive their rewards and how far away the destination was.

Several animals were tested over many sessions, enabling the researchers to observe how the neurons? responses changed as the rats learned to navigate the maze.

The scientists observed that hippocampal neurons encoded multiple aspects of the animal?s location ? where it is in space, the angle of its body relative to its reward and how far it has moved along its path ? a phenomenon called ?multiplexing.?

That finding is significant because it had been widely thought that neurons in the hippocampus code only for position.

?We found that in the virtual maze, the neurons carry very little information about the rat?s position,? said Mehta, a UCLA professor of neurology, neurobiology and physics. ?Instead, most neurons encode for other aspects of navigation, such as distance traveled and which direction the body is heading.?

The scientists also observed that as the rats gained experience in the maze, their neurons ?remembered? the maze even more reliably and accurately.

Research in Mehta?s lab and elsewhere over the past 25 years has shown that such changes in neurons? activity ? or neuroplasticity ? occur via a process neuroscientists call Hebbian learning. That process is mediated by a neurochemical called NMDA, which is a common target for drugs used to treat neurological disorders.

Mehta said the neuroplasticity scientists observed in the rats is likely due to Hebbian learning across billions of synapses. That conclusion was further proven when the researchers injected the animals with substances to inhibit their NMDA, which impaired their performance in the maze.

?Remarkably, neuroplasticity was far greater in the virtual reality environment than in simpler, real-world mazes,? Mehta said. ?Further, this boosted neuroplasticity was related to performance.?

Also contributing to the research were co-authors Jesse Cushman, Lavanya Acharya and Brianna Popeny, all of UCLA, as well as several UCLA undergraduate students.

In future studies, Mehta and his colleagues will conduct similar research on rats and on humans with memory impairment, to test wither virtual reality can be used for early diagnosis and to evaluate the effectiveness of medications.

The Mugler creatures. This fall, a rich fashion program invites itself in the halls of Parisian museums, with as a common thread this desire to understand the correlations between clothing and the tribulations of the time. This is the case of the one devoted to the work of Thierry Mugler, which is held at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris until April 24, 2022. Traveling exhibition, “Thierry Mugler: Couturissime” has already seduced Montreal before settling in Rotterdam and then in Munich. If the couturier retired from the catwalks in 2002, his extravagant fashion, celebrating conquering femininity, left its mark on the 1980s and 1990s.

For the first time, with Tesla’s Model 3, an electric car is the best-selling car in Europe. This is a first for two reasons. A German car manufacturer, on the other hand, can no longer be found in the first three places. It is the next indication of a turning point in the car market.

Dhe US electric car manufacturer Tesla has achieved the number 1 top-selling car in Europe for the first time with its Model 3. In September, 24,591 vehicles of the series were newly registered, according to data from the analysis company Jato Dynamics.

Volkswagen, the market leader on the continent with the Golf for years, is downright falling in the statistics. With 17,507 new registrations, the Golf only ranks fourth in September, behind the small car Renault Clio and the Dacia Sandero. The data cover 26 automotive markets in Europe, including the largest EU countries, including Great Britain, Norway and Switzerland.

For the analysts at Jato, the monthly ranking is remarkable for two reasons: ?This is both the first time an electric vehicle has topped the market and the first time a vehicle made outside of Europe has taken first place “, you write.

Even if both ?premieres? are based in part on special effects and global delivery bottlenecks, they still indicate a turning point in the automotive market. For many months now, only new registrations of electric cars have been growing in Europe, while sales of gasoline and diesel vehicles have fallen sharply. The diesel share in September was 17 percent, well below the share of electric cars, which made up 23 percent of new vehicles.

In addition to the government purchase premiums for electric cars in several European countries, this is also due to the strict climate regulations for industry. In order to meet your fleet limits for CO2-Achieving emissions and avoiding high fines worth millions, manufacturers have to sell more vehicles that do not emit any exhaust gases during operation.

According to Jato, only 964,800 new cars were registered in Europe in September – a quarter less than in Corona year 2020. At that time, sales of 1.29 million cars were just above the level of the previous year. From an industry perspective, this was a brief recovery from the slump in sales as a result of the lockdowns.

Immediately afterwards the semiconductor crisis broke out, from which the industry is now suffering. Because they lack important components, automobile manufacturers can produce fewer vehicles than are in demand. Whole factories stand still. According to estimates by management consultants, up to eleven million cars will not be built worldwide this year. “The chip bottlenecks are worse for the industry than Corona or the economic crisis after 2007,” says Ferdinand Dudenhöffer from the Center Automotive Research.

Tesla’s strength reflects the weakness of the other auto companies. “The company is clearly coping with the industry-wide chip shortage much better than the established automobile manufacturers,” says the analyst Frank Schwope from NordLB. According to his estimate, Tesla deliveries worldwide this year will increase by more than 70 percent, to 850,000 to 900,000 cars.

That would be about a third of all BMW sales. Elon Musk’s company plans long-term growth of 50 percent per year, which Schwope believes is unrealistic. Even with a lower value, the contrast to the local corporations would be enormous. Mercedes-Benz, for example, was three percent higher with its sales in the nine months of the year than the very weak sales result of the corresponding period of the previous year.

In the USA, Tesla has now also made the step into the market with fleet operators. The car rental company Hertz announced that it would buy 100,000 vehicles from the electric car manufacturer by the end of 2022. They are to be rented out in the USA and Europe in the future. So far, car rental companies have used almost no electric vehicles.

What the October ranking of the most popular car models in Europe will look like is still open. A special feature of the sales model contributed to the extraordinary Tesla success in September: In the last month of each quarter, the company always delivers significantly more cars than in the two months before. This so-called sales push was particularly severe in September.

In the current month, however, significantly fewer Tesla vehicles will be delivered on the continent. The Teslas that have already been ordered will first be built in the company’s factory in Shanghai and shipped to Europe. Cars from the new plant in Grünheide near Berlin are not expected until the beginning of next year at the earliest.

Michael J. Fox took in a basketball game at Madison Square Garden next to several famous faces.

The actor, 60, watched as the New York Knicks defeated the Boston Celtics 138 to 134 in double overtime alongside his wife Tracy Pollan, Dustin Hoffman, Tracy Morgan and Iggy Azalea.

The Back to the Future actor wore a purple jacket, with a green plaid flannel underneath it. He also donned a pair of dark blue pants and black sneakers with white trim.

Fox’s better half wore a black sweater and free-flowing black pants. She also donned a brown face covering while she stood up and cheered.

The couple were photographed alongside legendary actor Dustin Hoffman, 84, who wore a blue zip-up sweater and a white shirt underneath. His hair defied gravity and rose toward the ceiling.

The two actors’ appearances at the game marked a rare night off for the busy pair.

Fox recently lent his voice to Back Home Again, an animated film that chronicles one of the largest wildfire evacuations in the history of Canada. He also stays involved in his charity, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

Speaking to People, Fox recently revealed that he is ‘in a really good groove’ these days after having suffered a nasty fall three years ago that left him with a broken arm. The accident occurred while he was recovering from spinal surgery.

‘Every day is different. The circle [of what I can do] gets smaller. But I’m happy I’ve found things in the middle of the circle that can’t be touched, like my family and the time I have with them,’ he told the outlet.

Dustin Hoffman has a pair of upcoming films as well. He has a role in As Sick as They Made Us, written and directed by The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik, and a part in Sam & Kate, a romantic comedy-drama co-starring Sissy Spacek.

SNL alum Tracy Morgan, 52, was also photographed alongside Fox.

The comedian stood up and cheered after a particularly good moment for the Knicks during which the Family Ties actor cheered loudly and pumped his fist.

Morgan wore several large gold chains, one with his initials emblazoned upon the pendant. His shirt was blue, orange and white, matching the Knicks’ colors.

Michael J. Fox and his wife sit courtside at Knicks game next to Dustin Hoffman, Tracy Morgan and Iggy Azalea

Upgraded home by Liverpool (5-0) on Sunday in the Premier League, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is heading for the exit. The Norwegian has lost the confidence of his leaders who have already contacted the Italian Antonio Conte.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to lose his job as Manchester United manager.

After such a humiliation against rival Liverpool (5-0), which is more Old Trafford, it would be surprising to see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer again on the bench of Manchester United.

The Mancunian coach, who refuses to resign, has so far benefited from the support of his players and leaders. But the situation has changed a lot since Sunday.

A first contact with Conte

According to The Times, the Norwegian has lost the confidence of his dressing room. This partly explains the information from the Manchester Evening News that management is seriously considering sacking him.

The club would have even passed the stage of reflection. Because in addition to the improbable Zindine Zidane track, little attracted by the Premier League, the one leading Antonio Conte would already be active. Indeed, the transalpine media Sky Sport reveals a first contact between Manchester United and the apparently interested Italian. The Red Devils need a tactically strong coach, and the former Chelsea manager, England champion in 2017 and FA Cup winner the following year, sticks to the profile.

MU fears casting error

It remains to be seen whether the two parties will succeed in reaching an agreement. Nothing is less certain given that Conte, free after leaving Inter Milan on a Serie A coronation last season, is not easy to convince. Whoever planted Tottenham this summer knows exactly what he wants, as he told Gazzetta dello Sport last June. I’m more looking for projects and I’m ready to stay home if something doesn’t convince me, he explained. (?) If there is something that does not convince me, I prefer not to accept, regardless of the money.

The other hurdle is Manchester United are unsure of their choice, warns The Telegraph. Management remembers Jos Mourinho flop and believes Conte’s arrival would again contradict club culture. . Would the current Premier League seventh and his candidate be incompatible? Mancunian decision-makers will have to weigh the pros and cons before going to challenge Tottenham on Saturday (6.30 p.m.).

Do you think Antonio Conte would be the right choice for Manchester United? Do not hesitate to react and discuss in the area add a comment ?
