Sunday August 22, 2021, shortly before 4 p.m., an argument broke out at the home of the accused in Loqueffret (Finistère), near Pleyben.

Strongly alcoholic, the 49-year-old man then attacks his wife by slapping her. That day, one of the couple’s daughters then celebrates her birthday with friends.

Two days later, the individual was in the box of the Criminal Court of Quimper to be judged in immediate appearance. He was also being sued for driving while intoxicated. These acts, like the violence, were committed in recidivism.

More than 2 g of alcohol

This director of a craft business does not hide his addiction to alcohol. When he was arrested by the gendarmerie, he had more than 2.20 g of alcohol per liter of blood.

In front of the court, he explains that he often has a bottle of rosé-grapefruit in his vehicle. Within the couple, the situation is tense. “For some time now, I preferred to move away from home,” says the defendant who now lives with another woman.

“Do the chairs fly in your house?” “

The president of the court continues by evoking exchanges of blows: “At home, do the chairs fly? The man nods shyly. ?But the violence is mutual. “

His lawyer speaks of a “couple on the verge of explosion”. He recalls that the victim was also alcoholic last Sunday.

For the prosecutor, the accused has above all “the art of putting himself in difficulty for his family, his business …” The magistrate of the public prosecutor’s office calls on the person concerned to take charge of himself.

You have to hold back, don’t come like a snout and slap your wife. You have been married for almost 20 years, you have children.

Philippe LemoineThe prosecutor.

The court pronounced a sentence of 8 months of firm prison and 3 months, accompanied by a probationary suspension of 3 years with the obligation of care, to fix his residence in a determined place, to participate in an internship of responsibility and prevention of violence within the couple and sexist.

The man is also prohibited from appearing at the family home in Loqueffret, from frequenting drinking establishments, from entering into contact with his wife. His driver’s license is canceled.

In accordance with the requisitions of the prosecution, the court also ordered the installation on his vehicle of an alcohol ignition interlock device for 2 years.

Photo of the store front, correct postal address and identity of the manager? The tele-rapid.com site seems in every way to be the digital counterpart of the company of the same name based in Mers-les-Bains, in the Sum. However, the company in question has never had a website: it is an identity theft. A very bad surprise for Nadine Falkman, who discovered the deception in the worst possible way.

At the end of last week, an Amiénois entered his shop to retrieve the computer worth ? 1,000 that he bought on the internet. The brand only offering this kind of products on rare occasions and on order only, Nadine Falkman does some research and very quickly discovers the pot aux roses: a fake website, but also a fake Facebook page, and ads on the LeBonCoin sales site.

Since then, two other cheated customers have come forward. A nightmare for the manager: ?We have been around for 50 years and have been doing things well,? she laments. ?We don’t want to see our customers leave because of a scam?.

A well-crafted method

Perhaps even worse, the damage is already spreading to the store’s reputation. Nadine Falkman says:

?A lady who needed to have her antenna changed canceled her appointment because she tried to call us and ran into an extremely rude man. But there is no man who answers the phone, with us ?.

Nadine FalkmanManager of Télé Rapid in Mers-les-Bains

This lady actually used the phone number listed on the fraudulent website, the only information different from the real contact details of the brand.

To try to find out who she was dealing with, Amélie Delannoy, an employee of the store, dialed this number pretending to be a customer. She thus discovered how the scammer did it:

?He asks us to first send him an email with our contact details, so that he can send us a quote. He then asks us for the sum, and invites us to pick up the product directly from the store ?.

Amelia Delannoyemployee of the Télé Rapid company

A call for vigilance

Faced with this scam which they really did not expect, the two women do not know for the moment how to go about at least shutting down the bogus website before things get too big. A complaint was indeed lodged with the gendarmerie this weekend, but without much effect. Their priority for the moment: to prevent their customers as widely as possible to prevent other people from being scammed.

As part of an awareness campaign aimed at investors, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) wants to better supervise Chinese companies listed in the United States. Since July 30, SEC Chairman Gary Gensler has imposed a freeze on IPOs of companies from China, reports Reuters.

The good interest entity (VIE) the weapon to circumvent Beijing rules

The move was a reaction to Beijing’s a few days earlier to force private education companies to become non-profit associations. By imposing this rule, China has banned companies in the sector from going through “good interest entities” (VIE) to go public. The effect on the stock market was immediate.

These VIEs have been used for at least twenty years by Chinese technology companies, such as Alibaba, to go public abroad, including in Hong Kong. Investors who own VIE shares do not have direct access to the capital of the company, so they do not have the possibility to make decisions or to reorganize it. In return, the Chinese company undertakes to donate its profits to VIE, which redistributes the same returns on investments to everyone.

Chinese companies are using this model to circumvent a Beijing ban. Companies in large economic sectors, including technology, are not allowed to become foreign property. This system, already decried in the United States, coupled with its sudden ban on Edtechs, has tended to scold the SEC.

SEC demands transparency from Chinese companies

In a letter revealed by Reuters the American agency demands more clarity on this mode of operation from Chinese companies listed in the United States. The text requires them to explain that ” investors can never directly hold stakes in the Chinese operating company “. He also asks to describe the possible consequences of this system on investors.

Another requirement of the SEC linked to the news: that Chinese companies announce the risks represented by the intervention of Chinese regulators in their activity. In particular regarding data security. The allusion is transparent: in June 2021, the IPO in New York of Chinese Uber, Didi Chuxing was followed by a wave of repression from Beijing on the company, with consequences for the share price. .

Businesses Subject to the Conflicting Desires of U.S. and Chinese Regulators

The SEC wants to make sure companies comply with US audit laws. China prohibits its companies from sharing the work of their auditors with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), the body responsible for overseeing audits of listed companies in the United States.

The president of the latter, unable to obtain an independent audit of the companies concerned, was removed from his post by the SEC. Under a 2020 law, the Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act, failing to submit to PCAOB review within three years could result in the business being deregistered by the SEC. A complex decision for the agency to make.

The reaction of Chinese businesses and government to these SEC injunctions will be interesting to follow. The Chinese Cyberspace Administration (CAC) submitted an advisory in July to tighten security checks on local companies wishing to go public in the United States. The goal is to prevent too much data crossing the Pacific. The two decisions could collide in the near future.

Already having a foothold in the video game business – he released several game consoles, not without causing some concern -, Soulja Boy has just announced that it has acquired Atari. A statement swept away with a sleeve cuff by the firm.

Nvidia on Tuesday announced general availability of Nvidia AI Enterprise, a software suite that allows businesses to virtualize AI workloads on consumer servers running VMware vSphere. As part of this new offer, Nvidia is partnering with Domino Data Lab to integrate its MLOps platform with Nvidia AI Enterprise.

Nvidia AI Enterprise is made up of three components: the Nvidia RAPIDS software library suite, frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, and Nvidia Tensor, the open source inference service software. The American founder’s software suite brings these elements together with full enterprise-level support. It is designed to work on popular OEM servers such as Dell, HP, Lenovo and others.

?The idea here is that the same servers that were racked and stacked in private clouds, and corporate data centers can now be used for AI, with a small amount of GPU added to the server. [à] affordable, accessible and incremental costs, ?Manuvir Das, head of corporate IT at Nvidia, told reporters. Nvidia has decided to partner with VMware to market this software suite, he added, because vSphere is “the de facto operating system for the company’s data center.”

Many clients

Nvidia wants to accelerate the adoption of AI by businesses. While many companies are already embracing AI for basic strategic use cases, “there are a variety of functions that every corporate customer performs every day, regardless of their business,” the business said. founder. ?Whether it’s human resources, managing their sales team, or operations, supply chain, etc. And that’s where we expect to see a big wave of AI follow, where all of those business line apps that are used by the company’s customers will be infused with AI. “

Nvidia claims that early adopters of Nvidia AI Enterprise include dozens of companies across a range of industries, including automotive, education, finance, healthcare, manufacturing and technology. Among them is Cerence, which uses it to develop intelligent assistants in cars, as well as the Italian public research university, the University of Pisa.

OEMs that offer systems certified by Nvidia and supporting Nvidia AI Enterprise are Atos, Dell Technologies, GIGABYTE, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Inspur, Lenovo and Supermicro. Dell announced for its part that Dell EMC VxRail was the first hyperconverged platform to be qualified as a system certified by Nvidia for Nvidia AI Enterprise.

Nvidia AI Enterprise is available through channel partners. Subscription licenses start at $ 2,000 per processor base for one year and include Business Standard support. Perpetual licenses cost $ 3,595 and require the purchase of additional media.

Pétanque is a French passion. The world leader in the production of boules is located in a small village in the Loire. It has been a family affair for over 60 years.

It is not under the midday sun, but under the misty skies of the Loire that lies the kingdom of pétanque. In Saint-Bonnet-le-Château, precisely. This is where the 100% French pétanque ball is made. At the foot of the Obut factory, barely 1,500 inhabitants live in the village. Here, the ball is much more than a game: it is a passion. It all started in the 1950s, when the Souvignet family put everything on a new steel playing ball and launched the brand. Ten years later, it makes the happiness of Henri Salvador and Eddie Barclay.

Today, the same family is at the head of the company. It was the grandson Romain who took over. “The Obut ball is still a generation away, the pétanque ball still exists among future generations. We get up in the morning for that“, explains the new president of the company. In the factory, a hundred employees also work from father to son. More than 20,000 balls are produced there every day. 300 grams of steel are forged, and formed in half. -hulls, which will be assembled and polished With two million balls sold each year, the French company is the world leader, even if the Chinese compete on the low end.

“Are you interested in starting your own business? Come on, we’ll discuss it!” In the parking lot of a large area of ??Talant, the advisers of the BGE gently call out to the curious and the curious intrigued by the presence of this minibus in the parking lot.

“BGE” is the abbreviation of “Together for Action and Entrepreneurship”, it is an association that helps all people who want to embark on a professional project or retrain. “Our premises are based at Parc Valmy in Dijon. Very often it is Pôle Emploi which sends people to us, but we also want to challenge those who do not yet know us” glide Anne-Laure Fournier in charge of communication.

With a baguette and a liter of milk under his arm, Mouss pauses and then agrees to board this minibus to find out more. “You have to provide a lot of documents to get started, right? And you can fund projects?” he asks. This building employee has a small idea in mind: to launch his own company specializing in insulation. Camille Hembise, one of the counselors reassures him and tells him: “For the procedures, we can accompany you from A to Z. We do not finance any project, it is not our job, but we can tell you what assistance is possible for you and how to obtain it.”

We make small seeds germinate in people’s heads “-Camille Hembise, counselor

Mouss fills out a first questionnaire to specify his background and his project, then makes an appointment for a more detailed interview within the premises of the BGE. “This is the whole point of this first contact” specifies Camille Hembise. “We’re here to help them sort out their idea, and find out why they want to get started. We have all types of audiences and all types of projects. Being roaming the bus, we germinate small seeds in people’s minds, and that can lead to great entrepreneurial journeys. “

Ten years ago, in Saint-Gérand-le-Puy, in their cabinetmaker’s workshop, Patrick Matéos and his partner Monique Guillon created a travel trunk combining a kitchen and a berth to fit out their recreational space. The Campinambulle trunk was born.

Today, Campinambulle is a family and craft business of twelve people which sold 250 travel trunks in 2020. These à la carte devices make it possible to transform a Kangoo, Berlingo or Caddy type recreational vehicle into a mini camper van.

The nominees for the 2021 Allier Company Trophies are …

The travel trunk combines a kitchen and a berth to fit out their MPV.
At the head of Campinambulle, we find today Sylvère Matéos, general manager, and Quentin Matéos, who directs the workshop. In a few years, but especially over the past year, the family business has grown to such an extent that the two brothers are considering moving from the ?Mallards? farmhouse, where Patrick had his small cabinetmaker’s workshop, to move to Lapalisse.

A patent for the Alphée berth.

The health crisis has played in favor of this family business whose turnover has doubled every year for two years.

. In addition to the 250 Campinambulle trunks sold, 25 vans were fitted out by the Matéos family who also filed a patent for a minute berth named Alphée. To adapt, and not only to recreational vehicles, the Alphée berth is adjustable in length from 50 cm to 200 cm, in width from 60 cm to 140 cm and in height from 20 cm to 65 cm. And this with a slatted base so as not to sacrifice comfort.

Moulins Communauté wants to highlight “an economically dynamic territory”
Sylvère Maéos, general manager of Campinambulle, in a vehicle equipped with the Alphée berth.
In two months, 60 Alphée berths were sold. “And we landed a

partnership with Décathlon for Alphée on their marketplace, emphasizes Sylvère Matéos. Campinambulle’s objective is always the same: to offer the freedom to be able to travel with your everyday vehicle rather than buying a specific vehicle for the holidays. The idea is to make any vehicle modular, including a city car on which you can put a roof tent with four beds. ”

Training, integration, support: this is the recipe that enabled 11 people removed from employment, including 10 tenants of Vosgelis, to successfully cross the finish line of this innovative system, the result of a partnership between Vosgelis, Synergie Insertion and Afpa de Golbey. The 11 members of this voluntary and motivated group are getting ready to meet future recruiters at the reception which will close their training, on Friday August 27 at 11 a.m.
Started on May 17, this paid training lasting 525 hours is part of the Vosgelis recovery plan (22.5 million euros invested and 24,000 hours of integration planned). Initially, the idea was to train tenants looking for work so that they compensate for the lack of manpower in construction companies and, why not, one day find themselves renovating the apartments in their own building. .
An idea enthusiastically welcomed by the Synergie Insertion agency, which has taken charge of the financing of the training as well as the socio-professional support of the candidates, and which is now preparing to offer them interim assignments. For its part, Afpa de Golbey concocted a “tailor-made” training for them to meet the needs of the profession: for more than 3 months, the group learned the ropes of the profession of painter, floor installer and some of them. are even initiated into the techniques of ITE (External thermal insulation).
During this period, they were also able to train themselves to pass recruitment interviews thanks to the coaching team of the Face Vosges network. And at the end of July, a job dating enabled them to meet a construction company looking for future employees and keenly interested in certain profiles.
Today, these 11 new painters of all ages and backgrounds are not only employable but eager to work. Assiduous, motivated, careful, it is with pride that they presented their achievements to the exam. Everyone hopes, of course, that this training will open the doors to a new professional future. Some have found their way with this profession, others are considering a different direction; a young woman from the group is preparing to take up the career of a facade maker.
For Vosgelis, as for Synergie Insertion, which will continue to support the group, the end of the training does not mean the end of the system: it is now a question of achieving the initial objective, which is to enable them to find a job. To this end Fabrice Barbe, Managing Director of Vosgelis, invited the managers of all the paint companies working for Vosgelis to the closing reception; a meeting eagerly awaited by all.
